Peter Hambro has been involved in the precious metals industry for more than 40 years, having started his business career as a banker. He joined the Mocatta Group, then the world’s largest bullion traders, and went on to found his own company in 1990. This spawned LSE Premium-listed Petropavlovsk PLC, producing 600,000 Oz annually in Russia. Mr. Hambro, Honorary Fellow of the Geological Society and of IoM3, has been involved in the Quartzstone project in Guyana since inception.
Mr. Bay brings over 17 years of international mineral exploration and development experience, with proven entrepreneurial success in precious metals and hydrocarbon projects. A seasoned financier and corporate executive, he is the founder and director of private gold exploration and mining companies focused on South America.
Dan Hrushewsky is a seasoned mining industry leader with over 30 years of experience in financing, development, and acquisition of mining projects. A CFA charter holder and engineer (University of Toronto, MBA from DeGroote School of Business), he has raised over $200M for project development and advanced multiple flagship mining projects. As CEO of EcoJEX, Dan has driven innovation with patented technology to enhance gold recovery and sustainability. His expertise spans corporate development, M&A, equity financing, and stakeholder negotiations, delivering exceptional value and strategic growth.
Holds a PhD from University of Cambridge (UK) in Material Engineering. Has an extensive educational and entrepreneurial experience in private, public and non-profit organizations. Founder of Element 21 that brought Scandium technology from the former Soviet Union to sports, electronics, and aviation industries. Developed space age material applications for Mount Everest team with the warmest and thinnest jackets using ZeroLoft insulation material. Co-founder of CryptoChicks.ca, a volunteer organization with mission to grow the economic, professional and leadership potential of women and youth in blockchain and AI technologies through education, mentorship, business and diverse employment opportunities.. Ranked in Top 100 Canada’s Women Entrepreneurs 2009.
Ms. Spethmann has over 30+ years’ experience in northern Ontario, Canada and internationally in Latin American and Botswana including senior geologist and principal on two projects with significant discoveries (Choco 10 – Carolina Zone and Fruta del Norte) in Venezuela and in Ecuador. Companies she has worked with include IAMGOLD, African Copper, Aurelian Resources and Bolivar Goldfields. Ms. Spethmann studied geology at the University of Ottawa and recently completed the Mining Management Certificate at Ryerson University. She is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists Ontario, committee member of the Toronto Geological Discussion Group and WIM Toronto.
